Sandusky County Positive People High School Living Award, Inc.

Sandusky County Positive People, a Regional Group of Professionals, is for individuals who wish to continuously move forward the quality of life of the region we serve.  We wish to recognize youth in our community who have overcome adversity in their lives for the betterment of self.

To encourage leaders and youth of our area to seek continuous positive improvement of self and community

A sister chapter to Firelands Positive People, we are a group of community professionals who have come together to further develop ourselves as leaders, advance a culture of continuous improvement in our organizations, and to promote life-long learning and positive living in the communities we touch.

FREMONT – The Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County has hosted The Best of Sandusky County Pizza Challenge as a fundraiser for scholarships for youths in the community for several years.

Several months ago, the chamber decided to hand this fundraiser off to a different organization because it no longer fit with the chamber’s objectives. It was offered to Sandusky County Positive People, a local organization that awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have overcome some kind of serious adversity in their lives and have found themselves in a better, more positive place because of it.

Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, 426 Croghan St., is organizing the seventh annual The Best of Sandusky County Pizza Challenge fundraiser on behalf of Sandusky County Positive People. Proceeds from this event will go toward scholarships through Sandusky County Positive People for graduating high school students in the county.

The Pizza Challenge is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1, at Terra Community College in the Student Activities Center in Building C.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Howard Hanna Real Estate office in Fremont or from any Sandusky County Positive People board member.

Did you know that your 2014 United Way donation can be designated to go to Sandusky County Positive People?  Because we are not a funded program of United Way, a minimum donation of $100 is required.  Good news, that averages out to less than $2 a week!  Check with your employer to see if payroll deduction is an option.  Our Agency name is Sandusky County Positive People and our address is 130 Arlington Dr., Bellevue, OH 44811.  Thank you for your continued support!
